Personal Q&As

Obstetrics and gynaecology provide me the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide the optimal care to the women with different needs at different periods of their reproductive journey. I enjoy the process of helping infertile couples reach pregnancy through an evidence-based approach. Also, I am more than happy to take care of obstetric patients and guide them through the pregnancy and delivery journey. If any woman experiences any gynaecological issues, I would like to have the opportunity to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatments if needed.

I truly love all the aspects of gynaecological procedures including colposcopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, fertility-related procedures such as oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer, and obstetric procedures such as natural delivery, assisted deliveries (vacuum or forceps if needed) and caesarean section.

My secondary Master’s degree required me to perform microsurgery for ovarian tissue cryopreservation and transplantation using a mouse model. The project went super smoothly and I got hundreds of baby mice in the end!!

Ovarian tissue cryopreservation is now a viable fertility preservation procedure for cancer patients.

I love sailing, exercising and spending time with my husband and two daughters when possible outside of my busy work schedule. We have a 40ft monohull yacht, if you happen to spot us at Sydney harbour, please wave and say hi!
